Night of Joy

Night of Joy was good.  I was able to see some one of my favorite bands, Superchick.  They played one of my favorite songs of theirs, Anthem, which was great live!  A highlight of the night came when I went to see Chris Tomlin.  I noticed a woman off to the side standing by a building with her cane leaning on the side while she did sign language to the song playing, Indescribable.  She appeared to be blind as well.  It was a moment that made me pause to think.

Night of Joy Update

Hey guys!

I have been selected to be an alternate performer on Friday September 11, 2009.  Basically, if someone is running late, no shows, or can't sing for any reason, I am the person who will run up on stage and sing some tunes.  The last time I was at Disney marked one of the most fun days of my life.  Let's see what tomorrow will be like!

Night of Joy

What a whirlwind!  I first heard about Night of Joy's Talent Spotlight opportunity when someone from my church told me about a website organizing auditions.  I decided to send in an original song I wrote and sang to see what might happen.  A few days later, I had over 700,000 votes toward my audition online!  It's been so exciting to see how many people I know support me, and many people I haven't met yet.  Voting closes online at www.cmievents.com/vote September 5th at noon, so I will be anxious to hear whether or not I'll get a spot in the schedule at Ni

This was recorded at First Baptist in Lexington, SC on May 13, 2009. Pastor Danny Broyles invited me to come up to his church to give a mini concert and speak to his youth group. It was a very good experience and the first time I've spoken for that length of time to an audience. People seemed very receptive to what was said, judging from the conversations I had after the service. God is awesome!

What Do I Know of Holy

What Do I Know of Holy brings about certain realizations in my life that I've had through certain seasons. There were the times that the words on the page were kind of blank, but there was also the time of seeing a glimpse of God's glory and how awesome that truly is. This song, originally performed by Addison Road, really brings home for me the reality that we don't fully grasp God's nature, and that we should strive toward Him.

This recording comes from a live performance of Abide in Me at my church last year. The song was originally sung by Ana Laura. Brian Seagraves recorded the song live and also used his recording equipment to mix and balance the finish product. You can get in touch with Brian for his services at www.brianseagraves.com

Ahh.  The long awaited Graduation Sunday.  First, it came and went too quickly.  Second, it was even better than I imagined. I had many wishes for Graduation Sunday, and they all came true! Wishes:
