Want to visit somewhere that promises small town southern charm? Thomasville, Georgia. It also happens to be a wonderful place for, you guessed it, shopping!
I hear the bells. It's wedding season! In honor of my gal pals who are tying the knot this year, I'd like to share a few of my favorite photos from my time in Varenna. I actually walked by two weddings in two days, which isn't all that surprising I guess, since the weather was wedding-worthy. This (above) is the second wedding we saw from afar.
As it turns out, a 2.5 hour boat ride builds up quite an appetite! Lucky for us, there was a place still open by the time we arrived. Knowing it would be dark as we tried to find our hotel, we went ahead and decided to get a bite to eat before the trek.
I have a hankerin'; a hankerin' for a Disney trip! It's pretty strong. I went to Disney's website to order a vacation planning DVD, just to help me visualize and remember how wonderful it is to be there, even though I've been blessed to go many times. In the meantime, here are some photos of the magical place - Walt Disney World!
To start off on our Montmartre wanderings, we visited the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris.
After trekking up many stairs, we were rewarded with a beautiful view of Paris.
Do you ever want to sit quietly and feel time move by? Ponder how beautiful this world can be? Am I feeling sappy? You betcha! :) This picture reminds me it's important I have a grateful heart, while also reminding me to dream bigger than my fears want to allow. I hope you enjoy it, too.
Have a great weekend.
By the time we rode the ferry to Varenna, everything had a dim glow. This is why I splurged on a camera upgrade. My little kodak from 2008 served me well, but buying the Lumix G5 turned out to be a good investment!
After flying in to Paris and getting settled at my friend's home, we set off for a weekend at Lake Como the next day. Traveling to Lake Como has been a dream ever since I saw it in Star Wars Episode II. You know, the scenes of Anakin and Padme awkwardly falling in love. It was magic to me.
